1. "Who's writing, and how do you perceive them to be?"
I haven't really made my mind up about blogs yet, yes they can be useful for some people but others can find them pretty pointless. To me firstly I feel that they can be a tool used for getting things off your chest which is useful and also it can be used as a very reliable research tool. Where you can write a question which can in turn be answered by several different people who could give you different opinions and viewpoints. But on the other hand this can be done by writing in a diary which is as effective. I also think that when you do write a blog entry you are being judged by the people that come across your entries, which really makes me more aware of what I am writing.
2.Does blogging strike you as objective or more personal?
This is a really confusing question but from the way I understand blogging strikes me as being personal, in the way that people post their personal thoughts and viewpoints. And even when people post replies to peoples blog entries it is their PERSONAL thoughts therefore I have come to the conclusion that blogging is personal and not objective.
3. How often do they write, what do they write about?
I think it depends on the persons circumstance how often they post and what they post. Every one who has a blog has a different reason why they do it, some people post because they (like I said in the first question) want to get something off their chest and they are feeling down and the only way they find comfort is by leaving information about their chosen problem to friends or even total strangers. Other people like ourselves my have to use blogs at their places of work to keep their employer updated with there work or for particular assignments that have been given.
4. How do you see yourself using a blog?
I don't see myself using a blog to tell people about myself, or I will never use it to tell people sensitive information about myself, for example using a blog like an on-line 'dear diary'. But I could use an on-line blog to keep family and friends informed about my life and how everything is going, this is if I graduate and become a success and am not living anywhere near my family!!!
5. Do you feel comfortable writing for an invisible audience for example?
I feel very comfortable when posting. I would never ever think of revealing sensitive information when i post but if the time was right and i had to get something off my chest then who knows if i will vent on the web.
